FARMER DIES AS WIFE IS BURIED - Mathias Spang follows aged wife in death Friday

As the casket bearing the body of Mrs. Sarah M. Spang was being removed from the undertaking rooms preparatory to is being taken to St. Mary's Catholic Church for burial services, Friday morning, a telephone message from the farm home near Okemos informed relatives of the death of the husband, Mathias Spang.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Spang were ill from pneumonia at the time of the wife's death last Sunday.

The body of Mrs. Spang was held pending the arrival of a son, Mathew Spang, from Denver, Colo., who arrived Thursday. The husband's condition grew steadily worse during the week. The family had occupied their present farm house for the past 44 years, having moved there from the city.

Surviving the aged couple are four daughters, Mrs. H. Bennett, Mrs. T.C. Wagner of Meridian, Mrs. John Colmus of Holt and Mrs. A. Kelley of New York: and two sons, Jacob Spang of Mason and Mathew Spang of Denver.
