- Lloyd H. Spang, 57, of Ephrata, died at Essa Flory Hospice Center following a lengthy illness on Saturday, October 22, 2005.
He was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, a son of Florence (Arndt) Spang and the late Wilson H. Spang. He was the husband of Linda (Bajkowski) Spang. They celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on March 8th.
He was a member of Ephrata Church of the Brethren and enjoyed woodworking working in his flower beds. During his illness, he took up crocheting and made blankets for members of his family.
He worked as purchasing and planning manager for Kemps, formerly Penn Dairies, for 39 1/2 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are two sons, Eric D., husband of Melissa (Gentile) Spang, and Mark W. Spang; his sister, Linda, wife of Daniel Kelly, and two grandchildren, Zachary and Zoey Spang.
He was preceded in death by by his brother Richard W. Spang.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday October 28 at the Ephrata Church of the Brethren, 201 Crescent Avenue, Ephrata. Interment will follow in the Longeneckers Brethren Cemetery, Warwick Township. There will be a closed casket visitation from 6 to 8 PM Thursday October 27 at Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata.
