- John H. Ross, the oldest son, was born 22 February 1881, He was baptized at St. Patrick's. His godparents were Mike and Mary Neary. He went west and was a sheet metal worker. He also sold furnamces. He married Madge and had two children, Mary E. and John E. They lived in Seattle until he retired and then they moved north to Grayland, Washington. For years he supervised a cranberry bog there.

John H. Ross, resident of Grayland since 1938, died yesterday at Willapa Harbor Hospital.
He was born February 22, 1881, at Emerald Wisconsin. He was a retired sheetmetal worker and lived in Seattle for many years prior to coming to Grayland. He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Surviving are the widow, Margaret, at the home here; one daughter, Mrs. Mary West, Grayland; a son, John E. Ross, Worthington, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Bridget Walsh, Seattle, Mrs. Katherine Gibson, Cylon, Wisconsin, Mrs. Anna Stevens, Chicago, and Miss Pearl Dixon, New Richmond, Wisconsin; a brother, Charles Ross, Emerald; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The rosary will be recited at 8 o?clock tomorrow night at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Raymond. Requiem Mass will be offered at 10 o?clock Friday morning a the church. Burial will follow in Fern Hill Cemetery, Menio, under the direction of the Murphy Mortuary
