- SPANG, Roelofje (Ruby) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. On February 21, 2005, Mrs. Roelofje (Ruby) Spang of Edmonton, widow of John Spang, went to be with Her Lord at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her children, Rulie Hofman of Penticton, BC, Hennie (Rennie) Woudstra of Edmonton, Gerry (Alice) Spang of Edmonton, Maryanne (Jim) Munneke of Port Coquitlam, BC, Clarence Spang of Edmonton, Wayne (Grace) Spang of Edmonton; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Sam Hofman. A Private Graveside Service will be held, followed by a Memorial Service on Friday, February 25, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 13427 - 57 Street. Reverend Fred Bultman will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Emmanuel Home Expansion Fund, 13425 - 57 Street, Edmonton, AB T5A 2G1. Foster & McGarvey Limited, Funeral Directors and Licensed Crematorium, 428-6666. Owned & operated by the McGarvey Family since 1929.
