- M. Bernadine Zabor, 82, an Allouez resident, died Monday afternoon, January 12, 1998 at a Green Bay Hospital, She was born on May 25, 1915 in Aurora, the daughter of the late John and Alvina (Schiltz) Pang, and had lived in Wisconsin area for the past 20 years.
Bernadine married Casimer (Chuck) Zabor on November 27, 1934 at St. Nicholas Church in Aurora, Illinois and the couple enjoyed more than 60 years together.
She was a member of St. Matthew Parish; The Catholic Women's Club at the church and the Oaks Senior Citizens Club at St. Matthews.
Survivors include her husband, Casimer (Chuck); a son, Bill (Marilyn Zabor of Allcrosse, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Gregory Zabor of Columbus Ohio, Elizabeth Zabor a student at UW-LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Carolyn Zabor a student at Marquette University; two sisters, Rosette Franzen and Colette (Niclolas) Frieders, all of Aurora, Illinois; many nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Evelyn Medernach and an infant brother, Alvin Spang.
Friends may call at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2575 S. Webster Ave., Allouez after 9 a.m. on Thursday until the time of service.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Father Philip Hoffmann officiating.
Entombment in the Allouez Chapel Masoleum.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
