- 10 Sep 1952: Levi M. Spang, 57, of Annville R.D. 1, passed away at 9:30 o'clock this morning at his home. He was employed as a carpenter by the Hershey Estates, and was stricken while at work at about 7:30 a.m. He was a member of United Zion Church, Annville. During World War One, he served as a sergeant with Company B, of the 11th Battalion. He is survived by his wife, Harriet E. Spang (nee Wolfe); two daughters, Arlen M., wife of Luke Showalter, of Lititz; and Grace I., wife of Warren Bomberger, of Unit 53, Hershey. Also surviving are a sister, Ida, wife of Paul Hostetter, of York; a brother, Joseph Spang; and two grandchildren. [Lebanon Daily News]
