    • 16 May 1931: Funeral services were held this afternoon for the late Mrs. Mary Wheeler Spang, daughter of Jacob and Margaret Wheeler, of Geneva, N. Y., at the Spang residence, 1122 Walnut Street. Rev. Kohn, of Steelton, Pa,, was In charge of services. The remains reposed in a handsome solid walnut couch casket, which was surrounded by many beautiful floral tributes, the tokens of relatives and friends from Chicago, Ill., Geneva, N. Y., New York City, Reading and Lancaster. Members of the Bricklayer's Union, No. 34, of New York City, of which Mr. Spang had been a leading member for 27 years, sent a beautiful pillow. Mrs. Spang passed away on Tuesday of this week, at Geneva, N, Y., and besides her husband, Jeremiah Spang, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Catherine Schenk, a brother Henry Wheeler, and a niece, Mrs. Thomas Kuryla, of Geneva, N. Y. The pall bearers were: Thomas Weaver, John Dengler, Nathaniel Spang, Harvey Spang, Albert Spang, and I. F. Spang. Interment was made at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Relatives in attendance were: Mrs. Graul, Nathaniel Spang, Harvey pang, all of Lancaster; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Spang, Mr. and Mrs. I. F. Spang, of New York City; Mr. and Mrs., John Dengler, of Reading; Mr. and Mrs. Weaver and family, of this city; Benjamin Miller and family, of Lancaster; Mrs. Jacob Miller, of Mountville, Pa., and Miss Edith Spang, of Lancaster.
