- 31 Dec 1931: Clifford D. Spang, residing at 1204 Leaman Street, an employee of the Long Baking Company, was fatally stricken with a heart attack while at his work at 11:30 o'clock Wed. morning. He was aged 36 years. He enlisted In the World War and served his country in the aviation division. He was too young, however, to practice his craft overseas before the armistice was declared. He was the only child of William Spang. His mother and father are both deceased it was stated. He was held in high regard by his employers as a skilled attendant in the oven department of the bakery.
