Notes |
- Rita Schneider wrote on May 26, 2000 that she had written an article about John Peter Spang which was published with the Illinois State Genealogical Society. He came to the States in the 1860's and then sent for his sweetheart. They were married in 1871 just prior to the Chicago fire. They lived across the alley from O'Leary's barn and their home was one of the first destroyed in the fire.
