    • Kenneth E. Hersberger, 80, passed away Wednesday January 1, 2003, at his daughter's residence in Greenfield. He was born on February 11, 1922, in Lapel, Indiana to Dale and Sharley (Stottlemyer) Hersberger. He was a 1940 Lapel High School graduate and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired in 1989 after 29 years as a rural mail carrier in Sheridan. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Sheridan, the Lapel Masonic Lodge No. 625 where received his Masonic award of gold in 1996. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and the Murat Temple Shrine. He is survived by three children, Jeffery Hersberger of Noblesville, David Hersberger of Noblesville, and Jan (husband, John) Riley of Greenfield; five brothers and sisters, Vivian Williams of Anderson, Keith Hersberger of Anderson, Dale Hersberger of Anderson, Jean Henley of Virginia, and Harriet Spearman of Anderson; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou (Amos) Hersberger in 2002; his parents; and a sister, Virginia Dillie. Private services will be held Friday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. V. J. Stover officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, P. O.
