    • James E. Hersberger, 68, of Anderson, passed away Jan. 14, 2006, at his residence surrounded by his family, which was his wish.
      He was born Sept. 7, 1937, in Anderson, the son of Tom and Hattie (Hoffman) Hersberger.
      He was a 1955 Lapel High School graduate and a former 4-H leader. He retired from E
      & B Paving. He was a member of the Pendleton Church of Christ.
      Survivors include his three children, Ronald (wife, Dede) Hersberger of
      Pendleton, Rene? (husband, Tony) Ritchie of Anderson and Rick (wife, Karen)
      Hersberger of Anderson; seven grandchildren, Stacy (husband, Richie) Vincel,
      Erica McDole, Nicole Hersberger, Aaron Hersberger (fiancee, Jasmine Collins),
      Kaylin Ritchie (fianc?, Shannon Thompson), Eli Hersberger and Audra Hersberger;
      and eight great-grandchildren.
      He was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna (Myers) Hersberger, who died in 2002.
      Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main St., Lapel, with Jim Vaughn officiating. Burial will take place at Perkinsville Cemetery.
      Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
      Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer
      Society or the American Lung Association.
