      Marlene Patricia Spang. Ontario, Ore. past away on March 19, 2006 at the age of 72 years. Marlene was born July 10, 1933 on the ranch at Content, Mont. to John and Anna Barileach (Humenik). Marlene was a graduate of Malta High School in 1952. She had attended St. Thomas Catholic School in Great Falls, Mont. and Montana Normal College in Billings, Mont. Her early years involved ranching on the family homestead. Marlene married Edward Spang Feb. 19, 1955 in Malta and began new adventures and career opportunities. Marlene?s life careers included office manager, financial management, accounting supervisor, and diplomatic volunteer. Raising a family and pursuing her career. Marlene lived in six states, Washington DC, and Nigeria, Africa. In Africa, Marlene assisted in helping the people understand health practices, various cultures, and served in a diplomatic role with the public. Marlene was always aware of other people needs. These interests included individual needs as well as organizational, such as, Church, DOVE, Salvation Army, and Youth Organizations. Marlene would walk into a shopping area and purchase an item that someone needed and gave it as a gift. She was known, respected, and appreciated for her unselfish kindness. Marlene enjoyed being an accomplished floral designer, practicing gardener, ceramic maker, mother, and loving wife. Marlene is survived by her husband Ed of 51 years, daughter Colleen, and son Wade. There will be two arrangements on Marlene's behalf. The first, a viewing was held Friday March 24, 2006 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel in Ontario, Ore. Marlene will be laid to rest in Malta, Mont. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Malta Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Malta Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home with Father Jim O?Neil officiating. Cards and flowers may be sent to either funeral home/chapel at Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel, 2543 S.
