SPANG, Mildred Mary (nee Gillman) - Peacefully at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on Monday, March 21, 2011 in her 85th year. Wife of the late Harry Spang, Mildred was born and raised in Brougham, ON. She worked for the Pickering Township Municipal Office for several years but will be remembered by many friends for the 32 years she was employed by the CIBC in Claremont. She enjoyed the last 17 years of her life in Uxbridge. Mildred will be sadly missed by her daughter Marg (Hugh Clark), grandchildren Janet Smith (Stephen) and Brad Clark (Marcie). The joys of her life were her great-grandchildren Ryan and Brendan Smith and Isabel and Adeline Clark. The family would like to thank Butternut Manor, Uxbridge and the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital for their great care and kindness shown to Mum in her last months and days. At Mildred's request there will be no funeral. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario or the Humane Society of Canada in her memory.
