She was born May 26, 1930, in Baden, MD. She was a lifelong member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brandywine, MD.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jay W. Hersberger; four children Lynn Hersberger Van Zyle of Florida, Gail Hersberger (husband John) Specht of Lapel, Jay T. (wife Rhonda) Hersberger of Lake Placid, FL, and Lyle (wife Donna) Hersberger of Brandywine, MD; two sisters Louise Perrie Garner and Barbara "Bobbie" Perrie both of Brandywine, MD; nine grandchildren, Cathy Ryle and Cindy Ryle, both of Florida, Sherri Specht (husband, Scott) Noble and Jessica Specht, both of Lapel, John-Nelson (wife Emily) Specht of Middletown, Amanda Hersberger (husband Scott) King of Anderson, Wesley Hersberger and Brittany Hersberger, both of Brandywine, MD, and Eric Hersberger of Lake Placid, FL; and four great-grandchildren, Shelby Noble, Mitchell Noble, and Abigail Specht all of Lapel, Crystal King of Anderson.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brandywine, MD. Visitation will be one hour before the service Saturday at the church. Anyone needing travel or rooming information, please contact Gail Specht. Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home of Lapel is in charge of local arrangements.
