| 2. | SCOTT, William was born Abt 1770; died 23 Dec 1823. Notes:
"William and Mary Scott lived at a place called New Town Trap or Trape, where there were two taverns and five Drove stands; a Drove stand being a stop overnight place for stage coaches and loaded wagons carrying produce and stock from the west to Baltimore, Md.
He later moved to Hancock in the North-west part of Maryland and had a Drove stand and ran a Hotel there for many years, and named the Hotel the Boston House and it is called by that name to this day.
William and Mary are buried there in the Episcopal Cemetery." (Henry P. Hersperger)
