    • Joseph Rudolph Spang
      Retired employe of the Pennsylvania railroad company, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Laura Dodson, 811 Twenty-third street, Altoona, at 6.45 o?clock Tuesday evening after an extended illness. Born in Claysburg, January 29, 1863, he was a son of David and Margaret (Weyandt) Spang. He married Mary Adeline Conrad, who died in 1924. Mr. Spang retired in 1936 as a car repairman on the eastbound repair tracks with a service record of 31 years.
      Members of the family include three daughters, Mrs. Della Claar of Reservoir, Mrs. Dodson of Altoona, Mrs. Catherine Mentzer of Hollidaysburg, one son, William Spang, of Cleveland, Ohio, and a number of grandchildren. Mr. Spang was a member of the East Freedom United Brethren church.
