Sad Death, Republican Voice, New Richmond, Saturday January 12, 1907
Lucy Hopkins, 18 years of age and a promising and charming girl who had scores of friends who will grieve to hear of her passing away.
Miss Hopkins died Wednesday at the home of her sister in Madison. Her mother, Mrs. Michael Hopkins also was with her at the time of her demise. Her death came after a protracted illness which dates from last Thanksgiving day.
The funeral will be held in New Richmond today. The remains were brought from Madison yesterday to Roberts and home to her old home southwest of the city.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hopkins and their bereaved family have the fullest sympathy of the entire community in their great sorrow.
